FUNDRAISERS

The Instrumental Music Department relies heavily on fundraising in order to support the program. Fundraisers are run through the Kenowa Hills Instrumental Boosters either as joint activities with the Orchestra and Band or as individual groups.

Below are various fundraisers that occur during the year:

Festival of the Arts

The instrumental booster program has hosted a Festival Food Booth since 1993.  This multi-day event is one of the booster’s largest fundraisers each year bringing in thousands of dollars to our General Fund. It requires the hard work of many volunteers to make it successful.

We appreciate your willingness to volunteer.  Encourage your friends and family to volunteer too.  Anyone over the age of 12 is an available worker.

We’re using VolunteerSpot, the leading time-saving online coordination tool, to help us organize our parent/adult Festival sign-ups.  High School students will be able to sign-up at school.

Thanks for making a difference!

Keep an eye on our homepage to find a link to sign up to volunteer (this link is usually up from May through until Festival ends.

Knight Time Classic

Knight Time Classic (late September each year):

This is our time to shine.  For over 25 years we have been hosting our own marching band competition with over 15 bands attending each year.  This event requires many parent volunteers to help with concessions, ticket sales, band hospitality and general supervision of events.  You’ll also have an opportunity to donate concession items to help us save money. All proceeds of this event go directly to the general fund and benefit both band and orchestra.

Knight Time Classic Advertising Sales

Our Knight Time Classic Program Advertising Sales plan is designed to support the KHIMB General Fund but also give parents an opportunity to build credit in their students’ accounts.  The program is simple: Sell ONE advertisement and the revenue for that ad will be credited to the Boosters’ General Fund. Sell a SECOND Ad, the revenue will be credited to the student’s account.

Benefactor are one-line mentions and DO qualify for the student account credit.

Parents are encouraged to make it a team effort with your student.  For more information about the Ad Program, click HERE. Our deadline of September 1st is FAST APPROACHING.  Get out there and SELL!!

World’s Finest Chocolates

World’s Finest® Chocolate is the leader in the chocolate fundraising industry. Since 1949, dedication to the art of fine chocolate making has resulted in the sale of over 6 billion chocolate bars, and helped organizations raise over $3 billion. This money has been used to assist schools, athletic teams, service organizations, charitable causes, and other not-for profits. This monetary success is unmatched in the fundraising industry.

Dance Competitions
(4 weekends each Spring):

Kenowa Hills Instrumental Music Boosters hosts the concessions for 4 Dance Competitions held in the P.A.C. Many parent volunteers are needed to provide oven duty while the students handle the sale and serving of concession items. We have a great time with the students while earning a substantial sum of money for our general fund!
